The Frankenstein build

Hey guys, newbie kz750 owner here. I recently aquired a 1979 KZ750 from a friend of mine who couldn't get it to run. After going Sherlock Holmes on it, it turns out someone put the points lobe on 180 degrees off. Easy fix, and with some tinkering I got it to run. I have now replaced all the wiring in the bike, since a previous owner had chopped it up terribly. Perhaps this is frowned upon, but I put all Honda cb750 wiring and controls on it...which was a pain in the ass :S .
I will throw up some pictures of how the build is going when I can. In the meantime I would appreciate any and all ideas of what to do with it. I am going for a completely custom look, it's definitely not going to be a show bike haha

Haha its pretty nasty looking currently, and definitely smells when I'm riding. But, it was a free bike (nothing's ever free...), and its a good first project

Without a air box, you should run a hose from the oil breather, up between the carbs then down to the chain. Wire tie it and if there is lots of blow by, it can fog the chain. :lol:
Nah, it will be down low to the ground and not coming up in between your legs. :sick:
I haven't seen many Bobbers I like. If done well, it'll get my respect.

I like the straight bars but its your bike . Looks like you can make something happen with it either way . Welcome to the site :evil:

Straight bars on that bike have attitude, the high bars are definately blah, and look out of place. Looks like a nice bare bones build, i like it
