Maybe a $1.50 worth of plugs, I'm not sure of actual as it came in the set that also had the plugs for the carb vac ports. something like $6 for a 12 pack of misc sized plugs.

for a couple of dollars, you can buy a hose & a couple of clamps & connect one to the other
once the tank is on, you cant even see it
& with the money you save you can get some other goodies

Well I took her for a 10 mile spin through mixed roads and loved it, but in the end decided against it. She needed at least £500 spending on her and what the owner was prepared to give me for the Blackbird meant I'd have to find nearly a grand to be sure I had enough to make her right.
Finances are tight and the Bird needs nothing other than an oil change sometime soon and its chain adjusting. It'll also cope with riding in the variable UK weather without deteriorating rapidly.
So for the moment my dream of a 1000 LTD has to be put on the back burner. Gutted to be honest, but very pleased to have finally taken one for a spin after all these years. Hopefully I'll be back on here in a year or two once finances have improved with better news.
My thanks to you all for your help and advice
Ride safe
Chaz

A motorcycle is a poor investment unless it is being restored, very rare and is seldom ridden. Where is the fun in that.
My mother had plastic covers on her furniture in her living room. No one wanted to come over and visit. Never made sense to me. :pinch:
A waste of time and money.

She needs work, lots to do, but she's over all pretty good (though not as good as the original one I looked at)
The guy who had liked polishing bits, so she's shiney,..
The frame needs welding near the side stand (small hole)
New tyres and and modern gauge chain and sprockets needed.
Tank and panels will need sorting/respraying sometime.
I'm going to ditch the aftermarket luggage rack and put the original (yes I have it) grabrail back on her.
The seat needs recovering,,, and the list goes on.
All I really have to do to ride her is tyres and chains and sprockets. The rest can be done as time goes by, and funds allow.
So, finally got my Z, a happy man
