What's happening?! I just purchased my '76 KZ 900 and I'm trying to do some research to find out what all is on the bike. This isn't my first KZ as I had a 1980 KZ 1000 almost 20 years ago. I sold that bike but always knew some day I would have another. The previous owner was a woman who's father had built the bike some years ago and she doesn't have any info on it. From what I can tell it has later model forks because only the European models came from the factory in '76 with dual disc brakes. I also don't believe I have the 26mm carbs that would've come from the factory but it runs good so I'll dig more into that later.
My plans are to paint it, change the bars (drag bars), and tidy up the controls and gauges. I'm an drag/ street racer at heart so that will definitely be the look that I want to achieve. I look forward to getting to know some of you as I research and build my new project.
These are my rides. More pics to come when I can spend some more time with it.

I can throw a rock and hit 411 Dragway if you are familiar with that?! Whereabouts in Florida?? Got a friend who owns a small indy shop near Daytona HellsGate MC Repair ( Mostly Harleys I think), and I used to Vacay in Punta Gorda!
