I have a 1982 Spectre that I really could use some help in finding an original set of exhaust for. Noted a parts bike listed, however, also noted someone may have gotten to it first. Are there any other sets out there?
The bike was my dad's, had about 8k miles before he passed. I rode it to about 22k, somewhere along the line, the original exhaust was replaced with Kerker 4 into 1, which are now rusty. Hoping to find an original set and strat riding it again.
Thanks to all in advance, Jerry

If you don't find anything here you might want to try ebay. There are a few 750 sets either complete or parts. Sorry, didn't check the 1100.
BTW, if the Kerker is rusty but not overly damaged you can have it refinished with ceramic powder coat.

I saw your other post regarding the 1100, so I assume that is what you have. That is going to be a hard find as far as an original. No aftermarket OEM replicas exists as far as I know. You could go with a Mac 4-2 version in black. Or, you can ask here if a GPz 1100 version would fit your Spectre. Even if you have to make your own hanger brackets for the mufflers. Those I would guess are easier to find. Best of luck.

The 82-83 KZ750-N1/N2 Spectre muffler systems are probably the same.
The 83 KZ750-F1 Ltd Shaft mufflers probably fit, but they're chrome instead of black.
You might be able to use the exhaust system from a chain drive 750-4, but the mufflers are welded in place. not clamped.
The Spectres & F1s have a 1-piece manifold w a crossover support bracket for bolting the manifold to the oil pan.
They probably have that support bolt because I think you have to unclamp the mufflers to remove the rear axle, wheel or final drive.
(you don't have to mess with the mufflers on some chain drive models when removing the rear wheel).
Another possible fit is the ZN700 Ltd Shaft. It's pretty similar to the Spectre & F1.
The muffler system is chrome w slash-cut muffler tips & the same type of 1-piece manifold.
With any non-stock muffler system you may have to fab muffler hanger brackets & center stand clearance is a possible issue. maybe not, though.
