Hi all. A quick intro - I live in Port Macquarie, a town on the east coast of Australia about 4 hours drive north of Sydney.
After completing the restoration of a 1966 Triumph Thunderbird, I was looking for my next project when a mate of mine offered me a Kawasaki Z1R Mk2 at a good price. It had been sitting in his garage for 20 years and he realized he was not going to get around to doing much with it. Its a bit rough but mainly complete. Even though it is much more complex than my old Triumph, I bought it off him with a view to doing a full restoration as near as I can to original.
The resto has commenced and I think I will be a regular question asker on the technical forum. Please be patient with me.
