Hello! New guy picking up a 77 KZ650 this weekend was created by Kozman011
Hello everyone! Glad I found this site as I'm picking up a pretty cherry 77 KZ650 that has been owned by the same owner since new. I'm pretty active in the Kawasaki Voyager 1700
forums and the Kawasaki Jet ski forum. I was looking for a 70's Honda or Suzuki, but low and behold, another Kawasaki has brought itself into my life! Glad to be a part of the crew and look forward to being a part of the community. Live in Central, OH.

Congrats! Just in case you are not aware, there are no Phillips screws on the Kawasaki. Those screws that look like Phillips are actually Japanese Industrial Standard (JIS) and using a Phillips screwdriver on them will damage them. You can easily make JIS screwdriver tips from Phillips tips. If you need more info just ask. Ed

Welcome from Michigan. A1978 Kz650 C2 was my first bike. Loved it so much I’m looking for one to relive my high school days. Lol

Very close to that. Downriver area. You need to be from that area to understand what Downriver is

Welcome. A '77 kz650 was my first bike. I've owned two. They are great bikes. I paid $75 for that first one, from my friend's older brother. The kind of guy who drove a camaro and was a bit reckless with vehicles. After I got that going I knew a lot more about fixing motorcycles.
