KZ750 Twin from Ohio was created by mitchm114
Hi everyone!
I'm new to the Kawasaki family, but have enjoyed working on old Hondas for many years.
I currently have a 1970 Honda CB175 which I just finished up a top end rebuild on. I have a 1974 Honda CB550 which I put together from the frame up, with the exception of the engine (thankfully that was still in one piece and free).
I just picked up a 1976 KZ750 twin a few months back from a friend who had it torn apart in his garage for many years. He tried to make it into a brat bike by cutting up the frame, but he gave up. I recently took it off his hands for $250 and restored it back to its original beauty by welding the old frame rails back on and reassembling it. I had to do a top end rebuild as well, as the old head was damaged and I had to put a new one on. It only has 16600 miles on it. I hear that's low miles for one of these, which I hope is right!
I'm new to Kawasaki motorcycles, and this 750 is the biggest bike I've owned!
I'm excited for a new adventure and will probably need all the help I can get!

Welcome to the forum, nice save on the twin! Head-gaskets area common problem on these bikes. The early OEM gaskets (black and red) were horrible. The best are the late model gaskets '81+ that are green. The brown gasket from '80 works well too.

Welcome! I'm in central Ohio and pretty new here as well. Just went up to Findlay to pick up a 77' KZ650. Can't believe all the knowledge I've obtained here in just a few weeks. Have fun!
