Hello all, I just joined since I recently purchased a basket case 1979 KZ1000ST. I’ve always wanted a Z1000 and got the bug to start looking. Found a smoking deal and jumped on it, and had my BIL pick it up and store in his garage till I can get up to Philly to pick it up.
I’ve been around bikes all my life, with my first being a 1972 CB175, lovingly referred to as the Blueberry Bitch bc it was blue and was a bitch to start most days. I was only 14 at the time and didn’t know squat, so JB Weld became my most used tool on that bike. Since then I’ve owned sport bikes and Harleys but have always wanted a Z. So here I am. Looking forward to learning from all of you, and with that, I’ll post my first question in the engine forum.
