Hello everyone, I have been working on this bike for some time now. I checked the spark for each plug and have blue spark. Compression is good. The engine will turn over but I can't get it to start. I'm getting fuel from the gas tank to the carb, thought the petcock leaks a little so it will need to be replaced. However, I'm not getting anything coming out of the other tube that runs from the backside of the petcock to the carb? I'll pull that hose and it's dry. Any ideas what's going on? And even with that, I switch it to prime and it still won't start. I did take the carb apart and soaked all jets in carb cleaner for a few hours, then also sprayed and cleaned the inside of the carb and all jets. Didn't look very dirty. Floats were working great.I'm not sure what could be the issue, maybe still the carb? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

The dry hose from the petcock is supposed to be dry. When the engine is running, that hose will supply vacuum to the petcock to open the valve and let fuel flow. When the engine is not running, there is no vacuum, so fuel should not flow unless the lever is turned to PRI (prime).

Are you sure fuel is getting to both carburetors? Is the fuel level in each one high enough? If not, the jets will not be able to pick up any fuel.

When cleaning the carburetors, did you insure that the tiny passageways of the pilot circuit that go into the carburetor throat were perfectly clear? Did you remove the pilot mixture screw to insure that passageway is clear?

Spray some starting fluid into the intake and then try to start it. If it fires on the starting fluid, the carbs are the culprit. If it still doesn't fire, there is another issue.
