Nice 1000P. When I was voting the other day I met a guy riding a cop bike . I spoke to him briefly as he was leaving..I wonder where he lives. If you are out there in my area , give me a shout out. Lets go riding in the spring.

Welcome!

I expect this site to become more and more populated with Police bike owners as time goes on, since they are still readily available. I do love those bikes....

I am curious about the newer ones..are they fuel-injected or what and when did they start?

I have just replaced a broken clutch cable. Thanks to everyone on the site , I did a few searches and I have the clymer book , but I did get a lot of insight reading all the related posts.I did the reinstall in one try with no clutch clunk and it works perfectly. It took one hour. Saddly, I stepped in a blob of chain grease and tracked it through the house. The great equealizer! ( I was so pissed)I also now have the starter click. ( rocking in gear still works) The wonderful thing is it's dec 1 and I'm still riding in CT. Happy Holidays! B)
