Rich67, you have a gorgeous bike! Love your work and attention to detail. I just realized, after staring at the pics for weeks, you removed the original swingarm gussets and welded in new ones. Maybe when you are finished you could post some kind of build log as most of the pics from the beginning of this build are gone. I’ll admit to being slow and I may be blind as well, have you ever mentioned what front end you used on this bike? Again, gorgeous bike!

Hello all , took her for a short ride today for tuning ,still need a little more adjustment low down , Man It's a runner, that 1197 has got some get up and go, had a little problem when the jam nuts for the throttle cable backed off and jammed the throttle open, pulled the clutch in and it wouldn't disengage completely (will fix that) . My kill switch is a double tap of the start switch ,defiantly not quick enough to shut down if your having an issue while riding so going to get one from ISR ,it's built into the handle bar brake master cyl clamp ,installs right next to the throttle , Also I had a few bits anodized , just a little more blue LOL , Cheers

Hello everyone It's been awhile , last update was I fnally took the bike for a ride and that was it for a while I never got to finish the tunning of the carbs and it was running very lean starving for fuel at higher throttle setting , also idle was pretty horrible constantly fouling plugs i was running 25 pilots . I have recently spent some time tuning the carbs (not finished yet) but its running very good right now. If you remember it's an 1197 ,larry 's stage 1 head , Big valves , ported with 410 cams flows 91 cfm is what i was told by larry .It pulls like a raped Ape. running RS34's with 20 pilot jets /127.5 mains, needle second slot from the bottom , going to try 130 mains and a few dyno pulls to check my A/F ratio. Over all everything 's going very well getting There .

Been away for a very long time and really never finished this project . So im back to get it going again , First thing Im going to finish tuning , I had started to do this but living In another state 400 miles away I could never get it finished . I have moved back to TN. were the bike is so I might as well finish it up. When I left I think I put 5 to 10 miles on the bike in the process of tuning ,  With the weather getting nice i'd like to get it done and actually ride the bike ,  When i stopped tuning the mikuni rs 34's I had installed richest needle 9DZH04  and 135 on the mains with 20 on the pilot ,  Last week I installed a stand alone AFR to see if I could tune a little quicker it will be removed when tuning finshed  . Currently I have changed the needle Jet from a (p-4)  to a (p-6)  with the richer needle 2.48 mm . Tomorrow I am going to take it for a ride and make adjustments as I might have to go back to the leaner needle 2.50mm. I will let you know how it goes . Cheers

Finally got rid of the front master cylinder hose I had for a reservoir , unfortunately dropped the cap and put a few marks on it , can smooth it out later . I think it looks a hole lot better and is a lot safer . Hope everyone had a great thanksgiving , Cheers
