I got an email from fellow member JR (John) who lives a few hundred miles away. He was heading into town on business and wanted to hook up. I told him I would be in my garage tonight and we arranged to meet after supper. Given that John has an 810 I was looking forward to meeting him.
I called a couple of other members who are friends and we all gathered to have a few sarcastic comments and a couple of wobble pops (beer) while I put my bike back together.
Kzr members Tom1262 and Secondtimearound also showed up.
Tom has a totally radical GPz1100 that will pull the front end up at 60 MPH (check it out in the Kzr gallery) and Barry (my accountant) has a really nice looking, original '77 Kz1000 LTD that he bought from another member. Oh yeah, Kzrider's youngest member my son Zachary the kawaskaikid was also helping out and listening to the bench racing stories from us old Kz fans.
My Kz racing friend Bob Slade also dropped by the day before he leaves to got to The Isle of Man races in the British Isles. I got Bob and another fellow some media passes representing my newspaper so they are going to be our correspondents for the next two weeks.
John a good upstanding Irishman who now calls Canada home really got along with Bob as they were talking about the race.
We ended up getting my 810 back together and ironed out some bugs, but before the guys left we took a picture of a really great night in the garage.
Shown from left to right are Bob, Colin (me) Zach, Barry, Tom and John the out of towner (even left me with a six pack of beer:)

now that my friend... is a real man's shop. The only thing its missing are the tools all over the floor and a spare tranny laying about. Anywho, meeting people with the same intrest as you have is always fun.
All the tools and spare parts are put away every night. I've got a fair amount of cabinet storage. This habit was burned into my brain by a hard-arsed foreman when I was an apprentice steamfitter. He told me that he didn't pay me to look for tools each morning so put them away properly at night or go work somewhere else.
Kawasakikid had just straightened everything up for the pic and for those who asked the floor is pattern stamped, colored and sealed concrete from Increte Systems.

But I'd probably have it all filled in a week or two, some people are just born packrats
I helped a friend put up a 100'x 40' pole barn, it took him two weeks to fill it with all his projects, and his other two barns are still full
:woohoo:
