What model do I have exactly??? was created by BERT75
I am a new kawasaki owner. I just bought a 1983 KZ 750 ltd for $350. It came with the Haynes workshop manual and I'm trying to figure out what model I have so I can start doing some work on the carbs. I see all of these different model# :H4,N2,L3,L4 etc.. Which model# do I use to reference these things? I'm a newby to working on them myself so I hope someone can help

Nates vintage bike axiom: Riding is the reward for time spent wrenching.
Murphys corollary: Wrenching is the result of time spent riding.

The Kawasaki site says it's a "1983 - LTD-SHAFT"
Digging into the part diagrams they call it a KZ750-F1 (LTD Shaft) (1983) .

The 750/4s came with either Keihin CV34s or Mikuni BS34's
To find out which carbs you have take a look at the body of the left hand side carb, just above the choke lever and if Keihin it will be cast right into the carb body there. You may have to clean off some dirt but the Keihin marked their carbs and not in small letters either.
If nothing visible then probably Mikunis
