Oboy glad to see you finally has sorted out that ignition mess lots of testing ! I have a dyna s timingplate installed that i suspect is cheap replica and made one of my coil melt.
I have bought one set of new coils from Z enterprices  that i will try install when i get the engine back in the bike. I also have bought a boyer brasden ignition kit with coils ,but i can not install that before i have done a brake in on the engine i think. It says on the instalation manual that the engine has to be warmed up first then run at 5000rpm and use a strobelight .Not want i want when doing a brake in.

I suspect the coils have been going for some time and leaving the key on just made them worse. The Dyna S may still be good and I'll be checking that next. The Dyna is a power hog and on these bikes there's not a lot of power to spare. I want the Rick's rotor that provides 55% more power then I can run all the goodies I want.
At least Dyna is still making their items in the USA and they respond directly.
