If you're going to be traveling to the area, you'll want to book your hotel as soon as humanly possible: a lot of locations close to the track are already sold out for that weekend.
Last year I booked around this time and had no trouble getting my preferred hotel. This year I'm about 16 miles away - not terrible but a little less convenient.
Right now there are four rooms left at the Best Western Executive Inn in Mount Gilead, OH, due south of Mid-Ohio. The rate is $135/night, breakfast is included, you can reserve with no charge, and they have an 8.0/10 rating. (I'm not on their payroll, I swear.) A lot of available places are $200 and up.
Who else is planning to go?

I have been going to Mid Ohio every year for the past 10 years, (except foe the year cancled due to covid). Always road my V65 Magna, about 500 miles each way. Do to my situation, I only get 1 big ride/vacation a year. For 2024 it will be Barber. Never been there. Just feel its time for something different.
Going to Barber is like going to Motorcycle Mecca...everyone should make the pilgrimage at least once in their life.

I will be the coordinator for the Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club's infield location this year and we're looking for members to lend a hand with a couple of things:
1) We would like people to volunteer for a 2-hour shift in the VJMC tent to meet+greet attendees and to sign up new members. The time slots are 9am-11am, 11am-1pm, 1pm-3pm, and 3pm-5pm on Friday and Saturday, with 9am-11am and 11am-1pm on Sunday. In previous years we have been able to get free admission passes for volunteers; I will confirm whether we can do that this year as well.
2) Bikes! We will have room to display probably 15-20 bikes, so if you have one (or more) you would like to show please let me know. All models are welcome as long as they were made in Japan, and don't worry if your bike isn't perfect. If you like, feel free to create a one-page writeup about your bike that you can attach to the handlebars or the headlight to tell visitors a little bit about it.
Anyone who is interested can contact me at midohioinfield at the gmail by dot com. If you saw the announcement in the club magazine, please note there was an unfortunately-placed hyphen that broke the email address; "midohioinfield" is all one word. Thank you!

So , No Kawasaki's made in Nebraska ?
Yeah, and none of those darn Hondas from Marysville, Ohio.
How about "all Japanese brands are welcome", smart guy? That includes the oddballs like Hodaka.

I did figure that LOL
I displayed my bike at the VJMC booth one year at the International Bike Show in Novi MI one year.
Nice folks
I figured that you figured but I wasn't gonna let that go without a response
They do seem to be nice folks; I can't recall meeting any jerks in the club so far. Matter o' fact, I just had a pleasant call today with a husband and wife team that I've seen at Mid-Ohio the past several years.

The event will be open to the public starting tomorrow (Friday) morning; vendors and other folks will be arriving and setting up today.
If you're going, please stop by the Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club tent in the infield area to say hello.
