Was wondering if "truedisc" is still doing work?
I have been surface grinding flat disc's removed from center's. But can't do stock disc's
Was wondering on cost  $$  for a Z1 disc that needs very little to clean up.
Cost? Plus figure $15 x 2  for back forth shipping medium flat rate priority.
Is it cost effective?

I have a set coming back from him now. Duel disc in front and the rear. Tom does a great job. I have had quite a few bikes done by him as have my friends. I believe it runs about $55.00 per disc. In my opinion if you doing any brake work on these 40-50 year old bike it's worth it to have them cleaned up.  We are fortunate to have someone who was willing to set up the process to restore these old discs. I like to support guys like that.  I should have them back probably this week and I will post some photos.

I had a set of 3 disks resurfaced by Truedisk a few months ago.  This is the second set I've had done.

The quality of the work was excellent in both cases.  I definitely recommend his work.

I’m lucky enough to have Truedisk only 25 minutes away. He is a great guy and does good work. He’s done several rotors for me.

Thanks!  Was going to decide to restore a 1973  '8'  code front disc to sell? But might not be cost effective.
My guy can do flat surface grinding, he did my 1st Z1 disc, now I need a 2nd! I scored some NOS Gremica hockey puck calipers for the front end i'm building.
Plus I had this set of 81' GPZ 1100 rotors that were ugly. I asked if he'd take these down to minimum 4.5mm. Be nice for a weekend cruise night Looker, restored sitting bike? Eddie Lawson repo?
They don't bring much $$ on ebay? 2 year window? 81-82  I'll sell them here?
Check out the 20mm rear axle in a Z1 hub!  . non-standard bearings! 40mm x 20mm in a Z1 hub.
The BETOR front end had a 200mm axle hole on 1 side, now it has 2! looks trick!

Nice work on the rims crazy one  .
Will look good together!
Isn't that black paint on aluminum centers a bitch to blast off? must of had a lot of lead in it?

Actually that paint came off very easy and was surprised. I was expecting it to be harder. Took me a few hours to tape everything off for painting. Between polishing the edges and spokes plus general cleaning blasting and paint I think I have close to 8 - 10 hours into them. I use a Stainless steel media which work great for painted surfaces but I have to clean the media and the cabinet after. I was thinking about lead in that paint but I do have a good vac system which keeps that dust out of the air.

Cra-z1, looking great. Lots of Road Rider MKII in stock now that would finish them off.

I like the Avon RoadRiders, have them on most of my vintage bikes but the rear on this is a 16 inch. My options are limited. If the RoadRider was available in a 16 inch I would run them.

Well looking again it looks like they do have a few sizes in the 16 rear.
