The extra long release tab for repositioning is a good feature too. more zip ties should be made with that.

They look nice. Expensive, but nice.

I used cheapie ty wraps with a release tab ~25 years ago when I was a tech for a commercial equipment distributor. I liked the ability to reuse them, rather than replace every time I fixed a machine. I have OCD for tangled masses of wires, all the same color. :-)

Those metal bands you put onto CV joint boots would make good "permanent zip ties" for non-fragile stuff.
