Inaugural Events Pre.Post etc.

Gonna post this, if its not appropriate, please remove it sir.with my apologies. I am seeing and reading a LOT of people saying they are heading to D.C. before ,during and after the Inauguration for the purpose of disrupting and protesting, I also saw that a Group of Bikers ( Bikers for Trump??) most from South Carolina ( ??) I think are going to be there for a counter protest and to face the protesters head on.Anyone hearing these things?? It should be interesting when some Bikers many of whom are Combat Veterans, face this group......I also heard that some 1% clubs may show up.....Politics does make strange bedfellows!

The rules say: "Stay away from political debates.". The way I see it a civil discussion is different than a contentious debate so I suppose the fate of this thread is up to the members who post in it.

I understand, I am not stating a position on either side, I am merely observing what I am hearing, Reading etc. and wondering if anyone else is hearing these same things, I remember 1968, Chicago and the convention there ( I am sure a Lot of members are too young) I am expressing concern that no matter where your support falls on the scale, this whole thing could easily spiral out of control. I think the fact there seem to be "Bikers" involved is what piqued my interest. I am not taking a position on the political side of it, I am concerned with the "People" side of the equation, I am thinking if it turns violent , it could be a sad day in our history no matter what political party a person supports. I agree that this post is "Risky" and I understand if it becomes Contentious, it should be pulled. Have a good day.

This biker is not planning on going or watching it.

There are 2 things (I can think of) that I don't discuss in public...... politics and religion.

That said, I have nothing else to add to this thread.

Not watching it. I am already sick of hearing Trump. As for protests, it's the American way. My wife is going to the one in our area and even made a bunch of knitted hats with cat ears to wear. Here's the kind of hat if you want to wear one.

That's the risk you take at any kind of political protest.

I haven't watched on since JFK's inauguration. Didn't have the stomach for any of them, but somehow I'm thinking about taking the time to sit in this time.
Guess I'm wondering if he'll change modes and act the part.
