Show me your motorcycle lifts

I wasn't looking for a second lift but it's great to have one for that long term project while you use the other one for multiple tasks!

Something I saved ages ago.

A stand I did make from wood I had laying around.

Helpful tip for anyone with a H/F lift. In the lower position the lift with its turned up edges on all four corners are lethal weapons to your knees. After hitting those turned up edges with the sides of my knees a few times and suffering major pain I placed pieces of clear plastic tubing over those edges and glued them in place!!!! Over the years it has saved me from more pain in my knees when I bumped into those edges!!!

Ever since I have had a lift in my garage I have used a Pingle wheel chock and a pair of Ancra tiedowns to secure all of my bikes with handlebars to my lift. I don't like those huge wheel clamps because most of them contact the front disc rotors. Don't think its a good idea to clamp down on your front rotors. I ONLY use Ancra tiedowns too. No cheap sh*t tiedowns for me. In over 40 years I have never lost a bike off my lift using this method.

Now my bikes that have clipon type handlebars I use a sturdy workstand on the rear swing arm and butt the front wheel into that same Pingle wheel chock. This method is not as sturdy as the tiedowns to handlebar but its close. The covered edges of my H/F lift  The Pingle wheel chock and Ancra tiedowns on bike.

I'm gonna have to have another look at putting the Pingle wheel chock on my lift as above ^^^. I like it.
   I have also added large carabiners between the lift & the tie downs so they will never become disconnected.

I like the Handy SAM1200. I always wanted a lift for nearly 50yrs of working on the floor. Finally got a good USA made lift.

But if you buy at least a couple things each year, the club savings will probably cover the membership fee.

The Chinese lifts that you guys buy at Harbour Freight are available here in the Nordic Countries as well under a few different brand names. They no longer as dirt cheap as they used to be as shipping from Asia skyrocketed during Covid.



I have always found it handy to have movers transport trolley around that you can drop your non rollers and engines on, really handy to have around.

I like the Swedish version's color !! 

You can’t do any better than a Handy lift. A friend of mine has two. You can put a tank on it. He actually offered one to me to open up some space in his garage… for free! But I don’t have the space to store it when not in use.
I sit on a four gallon bucket to work on my bikes.

Pull your car or truck over it when nothing is on it.  I used to do that until I got the side extensions.  Of course your vehicle must be high enough to clear the lift.

My buddy bought this Handy lift, cost a fortune to get imported and shipped up to Canada but he says you could set down a helicopter on it!
