Yeah Sean, I think that bike looks like a project! Chewed up and spit out but over time those parts will appear here and there. And I hop you are not watching from behind the wheel of a car. That would suck, especially if you had to ride bitch with my bitches. They'd be all over you and then you would have hair all over you that you would never get off.

Not to worry Saxjonz, I'm already pretty hairy and I don't plan on ridin' bitch anywhere. As far as the KZ goes(not far!), I know it looks thrashed but the mechanicals are what I am concerned about. My main bud just got some new shop space...compression/leakdown test coming soon. If that goes well, it's gonna be all about get it running and riding, safe and dependable. The "ohh so pretty" stuff can wait.

I agree with you Sean, it doesn't have to look pretty right away but it needs to safe. Who cares if it looks like a sleeper as long as you can crack the throttle and it makes you smile. I'd say you'll be doing alright. Go for it.

Like the old adage "It's not the face you f@#$ rather the f@#$ you face." lol It'll come together eventually. Mine was looking rough for many years. Torn up seat faded paint, missing side-cover. Just whatever you do just make sure it's safe! No fun going down because of a frozen wheel bearing or locked up caliper or worse no brakes!

You got it guys. I get real bummed on my chopper buddies that are always insisting that a functional front brake "ruins the looks of a motorcycle". Stuffing a bike into the back of a civic is what ruins the looks of a motorcycle. I just tell guys, "if it works good, it looks good."

looks like a solid project nosajB) Saxjonz you may want to get in on this... forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=81256.0
...kind of a lot to read to get the details but basically this will be the Michigan leg of the sohc4 club's relay rally across the U.S. Me and another guy from Kalamazoo are taking the baton (which ended up being a godzilla doll:silly: ) from Detroit, through the u.p., to Wisconsin. We will then continue around L. Michigan home. It's still kinda up in the air exactly when we will get the godzilla baton, but it's lookin like late July/early August...
