After 26 years as a auto electrician, technician and service manager in the VW dealer network I moved into apprentice and dealer tech training for VWG, JLR and John Deere first as a trainer and then as a training manager. The last 2 and a half years I have managed apprenticeships for "rail infrastructure technicians" so the first time in 42 years that work doesn't have wheels.

I spent 10 years in the Marine Corps being a jet engine mechanic I then After exit in the Marine Corps I decided I would do a bunch of odd jobs but ultimately I fell back into being a mechanic. I've turned wrenches on rusty junkyard beaters and I've turned wrenches on multi billion dollar jet aircraft deep down righty still tighty, left is still Loosey, most of the time lol.

I've spent the last 7 years working on cherry point in North Carolina and we'll continue to do so because I love my job and it's a fine place for me to raise my kids.

I used to be a high end remodel carpenter but broke my back on the job in 97'. After that I became Mr Mom in 02'. I'm still Mr Mom too but now I'm dealing with stage 4 prostate cancer diagnosed in 15' as well.
I started resserecting bikes with my best friend from high school in 17'. We've done a couple dozen bikes since then and have 13 bikes between us at the moment that we share. Most of them were $500 bikes when we bought them.
It's been a lot of fun and it's what keeps me going so I ain't quitting now.

I had a "forced" retirement this year after some health issues caused me to fold my CAD design business. Just turned 60 so a little too young to pull on any pensions.

This is the first year since I was in College that I will not report any income. Been working since I was 14 and its hard to turn that off all of a sudden, but keeping busy doing some unpaid work for my kids (house renovations)

Was in Automotive tool design for the big 3 for 24 years, started on the drafting board (plastics, rubber, and magnesium castings) and ended up on a computer. Got downsized in 2008 from the Magnesium place. Since then opened my own design business concentrating on small prototype specialty machines and part design. 40 years in the design world is just about enough for anybody!
