Hello Wookie 58
I have been looking through the posts as I have a problem with the mecanical regulator on my bike the wires to are a bit burnt and when connected it blows the fuse, I saw you commented on a similar thread.
I have been looking at solid state regulator/rectifier as a replacement and the ones I have seen are 5 wire 3 yellow wires to the Altenator one to earth and the other to the battery I understand that but would you know what happens to the Black, Brown and Green wires that go to the existing regulator?
Sorry for the cheeky question for one so new here
Andre

Will have a look for you later, the 400 is a little different to a lot of the posts here in that it has a separate "field coil" for the generator rather than a "permanent magnet" rotor.
