I am thinking about a rebuilt set of carbs, the backlog looks long and looming, but if he motors through it at a reasonable pace I can live with waiting.
The current carbs are getting tough to get set - up it is at a shop, and they appear to be doing the right things, with some degree of frustration.
Seems like purchasing a set of pre tuned carbs would be the set-up. CV carbs would suit the purpose of the bike, it will not be a hot-rod, I just want to tour the West Coast on it.

I am still pondering things. I just spent 45 minutes looking at my own thread, I don't know if I can sell, there is just too much work and heart poured into this thing.

you would regret it before they could get around the corner.
take some time away if needed,
if not go bang your head up against the damn thing until you figure out how to overcome your obstacle.
it would have to feel pretty crappy to not see it through now,
forever,
Everytime you think about it,
you would just wanna puke.

i would hate for u to do anything rash, then regret it later.
just give it a rest for a while and rethink it later.
You have done a fantastic job , and u r sooooo close.
u cant imagine the satisfaction u will feel when this bike finally runs.
hang in there.

Jetting... well there is a dynajet kit to take care of that.
Paperwork for title has been taken care of. I am ready to dig in and take it the last mile. In the last couple of months I have been restoring an 86 GSXR 750 for my neighbor, that project is almost done. Soon as I deliver the GIXXER to California... the KZ will be up and on the bench again.

I concur..
there was a brief time when I almost switched to the GiXXer movement.
