Wow, only a gay guy would color coordinate his cup with his furniture
On a less fortunate note, I am still having trouble with my new tig welder, so I'm having the company (EVERLAST) replace it. I can still use it, but the foot pedal function does not work and it seems to be having trouble shutting off the shielding gas even though my post flow is set to 0 :S I think my unit was damaged in shipping, hense the multitude of issues, but I've tried long enough to fix it. Now it's time the company make good on its purported fantastic customer service reputation and take care of my rather expensive green boat anchor sitting next to my bike
On a different note, I was cutting up some aluminum for a welding cart for the crippled tig welder, and I decided to attempt to cut some titanium. The good news is it cut easily but DAMN, it was like fireworks were going off under the panel I cut....like a cloud of white sparks  As I was cutting I thought "oooooh, I should video tape this, this is cool.
You will notice the very thin heat affected zone next to the cut. You may also notice the dross or slag left behind. It does not cut as cleanly as mild or even stainless steel, but it isn't any worse than aluminum

I am installing the castors right now. Then a few more braces, one more shelf, some cable hooks and tank supports and viola! A place to park my crippled green welder and plasma cutter

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationOne more thing guys....I haven't given up on my titanium muffler, far from it; but with the Duc mid pipe I have, I really wanted something easy for mock up purposes for a change. So I was able to nab a set of Duc mufflers off ebay
Now I just need to trade this Yosh Series 2 for an offset collector header.....

I can't post thread links easily while mobile but look for "pens z1" in the project forum and look for "gullwing triples" in the chassis forum.

Uhhhhh, yeah, sure I can guys. Lemme just whip up some valves on the ol harbor frieght 3 in 1 machine :woohoo: I was stumped a little, as I had called Kibblewhite and they do not make 37mm J model stainless valves. I need to find another appropriate supplier.

Funny you should mention that Mark, EVERLAST's tech rep did say there were several parts of the country where their welders consistantly sustain abnormal levels of shipping damage. Appearently Southern Cali is one of those areas  along with Florida, The Northwest and The Detroit area. Texas is one of the safer states, with the most welders being shipped and one of the lowest damage rates....go figure.
