I FINALLY got a battery. $75 at Walmart. Now I can make a battery box, and more importantly, the mounts for the battery box in the frame. That is one of the last frame fabrications I need to to make, besides an exhaust mount.....and passenger pegs...and I'm sure I'm forgetting something else :pinch:
I can not for the life of me find any CCA #'s on this battery or packaging. Wierd...

This particular battery is distributed by Johnson Controls (Interstate) but it's still made in Taiwan  What kind of battery did you get for $50? This battery is a Sealed AGM battery. The last battery I got for this bike was a standard vented unit, and it was $45. I need to be able to lay it flat, hence the more expensive sealed unit. If you got a sealed AGM Interstate for $50, I'm taking this thing back and buying from your supplier!!!

Yuasa shows 14bs batt's at 200 to 210 cca.
i would encourage u to compare the dimensions of yours to the yuasa's most popular 14's and if needed make your box slightly larger to make sure it fits a yuasa. this will give u more flexibility when the time comes to replace your bat .
if yours is the same dimension, u r golden.
i will email u a chart

You are right Mark, it looks like it would behoove me to make my battery box an additional 1/2" longer to fit a wider range of batteries.

I FINALLY ordered my front sprocket. I'm sure I'll kick myself later for going the cheap route, and ordering an off the shelf 17T sprocket from PMFR, rather than an 18T or 19T custom from D&G for an extra $55  I'll just keep my open highway time to a minimum if the freeway RPM's are a little high.

530 pitch, 7/8" offset. When I measured my required offset, it was just shy of 15/16"
I am hoping that 1/16" out of alignment won't matter.

Unless u are a very talented track racer that can achieve high lean angles, 1/16" will make NO DIF. 1/4" is common.
