Nice rebuild!!!

The European (German only?) rear grab bar looks different. They have rear turn signal mounts.

Your Marving Race silencer looks like shorten by 15 cm.

My Marving Race end cap mod.

The grab bar is from Z1-900,.( like Z1a, Z1B),.they came ever without the flanges for signal lights! ( I prefer this older version, the signal-lights are closer to the frame, and the bar is more filigran..!)

And you´re right: The "germany"-bikes have had it, also the sidestand mounted  forward under the generator,..and with this very nasty, bended, shift lever....(for the circuit breaker to prevent for  starting with the side stand out..)..I´ve ever prefered the international version of the Z1000 / KZ1000! - Our german government with thoose rules had made some bikes more nasty in details.....

My Marving is a "404", ...i don´t think,this is shortened,..but who knows..?
Anyway, i have the documents for this, and a good chance, to get it in the papers somedays...( and in case, i can fill it with some kettlecleaning stuff, to reduce the noise for the MOT check,..but that´s in an unknown future,..for now, i`ll like the 4-2 silencer style of the Z1000, and led the original 4-2 on it..! ( In more than 45 years of drivin`old Z1000, and Z1,..i`ve never had a Z1000 for me, with that original exhaust...haha..Must have this experience before i quitt...;-) ;-)
Greetings, Joe

The Marving "404" enblem is "borrowed" form the TÜV legal "Master" silencer to get it licenced !

yes, sometimes strange things happen,...life is full of mystery and surprizes...... (But to be completely frank and honest: who am I to judge whether someone has shortened an exhaust pipe or, for example, the extremely high bent streetfighter frame at the rear.. As long as nobody steps on my toes, I don't give a damn!)

WHAT a perfect day today:
Petrol on the bike, kicked it in 6 times, and the lady runs like a good Swiss watch!! / (Thank to zed1015, the choke plungers are working perfect!!)
-Then quickly to the MOT, everything was fine, and then quickly to the DMV,completed the registration..! Perfect timing, and we were lucky!
Pictures will follow here,..came just back from a little 40 km ride, everything works fine, exept the speedo: Cable is broken...ha, littel thing...engine runs soo well, iam really happy!!
(( Wookie: Seems like Your very large "crossed fingers-smiley" had worked very well !!!)

Edit: Just back from a second ride, bike runs great at any speed and RPM´s,..totally satisfying!

Here a pic from first run this morning...

Here from a bike meeting point by a ferry over the river,...classic meets new age...

Congrats with very nice bike and passing MOT !  here in Norway bikes manufactured before 1987 dont need a MOT. It is strange because they are very restrective on everything else.

Always a nervous time when you take vehicles for a MOT, even though you know that everything is perfect. You can now enjoy the summer 😁😁 great job.

Thank you buddies,..yes, it was no real challenge, nothing to criticise, everything was working as it should, like brakes, lights, ( nearly all brake parts been new, or repaired to original specs,.new tires,...the OZ cast wheels have been in the documents, ...exhaust original,..say: No sweat, it was a thing from about 1/2 hour...and after that just a hopper to registration...sometimes, everythings fit like a glove..!

Have ya all a fine and troublefree season on bike!!!
