I’d like to as a question without hijacking your thread. Why is resistance needed in the plug wires?

I don't use resister plugs or wires. I don't care if there's some static on a car AM radio when I pass by. I didn't know the Taylor wires were resister, they may not be. In my 93 Chevy Euro I had one fail in the dead of winter 400+ miles from home. Turns out it was the shortest one on the V 6. Loved that car but this state lowered the smog limits so it wouldn't pass unless everything was perfect. Changed the wires and it passed barely. Tranny went out in 13 so I looked at the car then the bike, the car lost.
Using resister plugs with resister wires will make the bike run like crap.

BTW you can barely see Bossie's mirror in the bottom left corner of the pic.

Checked the plugs again. They're looking pretty good.
