Thanks Dave for including my bike. The photos enclosed are a bit of old and new, the bottom photo is of the bike today with extra modifications.kaw-a-holic wrote: Very nice bike John! Thanks for sharing and congrats on bike of the month.
Apart from the exhaust which rusted out, I have all the original (light blue) panels (with touring chips) and also all the parts that have been exchanged for something better. The fuel tank was the original 13ltr from the US, Kawasaki felt a bit guilty for us in Oz and replaced it with the 18Ltr which is now stored (we had to pay $200A).
First Permanent ride the Z1R since Dec1977 (220,000km) as of June 2015
Second permanent bike 1989 FJ1200 dyno'd 140RWH, great bike.
Third ride is now the Frankenstein 1981 GPZ1100B1, 1983 fully recon motor fitted LOVE THIS BIKE
Forth my work bike FJ1200 1989 (same type as FJ above)

I have a 1980 Kawasaki KZ750 Ltd. I bought new. I recently managed to get it out of my garage after 28 years and put it on the road again (2010). I feel like a kid all over again. Since I have acquired 3 78 KZ1000 Ltd, 1 1981 KZ1000 Ltd, and another 1980 KZ750 Ltd. Love the LTD's.

As I have told other BOTM winners , YOU Honor us here at KZR by sharing your beautiful bike with all of us here
Your machine is truly a fine example of a one owner Z1R.
My best friend had a new Z1R that I rode next to on my LTD for many happy miles and years so I do have a soft spot for your bike.
I love the upgrades you have done over the years . My favorite being the awesome brakes and suspension work
I Hope all here enjoy checking out your bike as much as I enjoy bringing it to the members.
