Any interest in a MI group ride this year?

I've noticed a decent number of fellow Michiganders on here and I think it might be fun to get together for a ride sometime when the weather permits - scheduling and location to be decided. I'm not much of a racer, but I love to ride and it'd be cool to see some more KZs in my life.

Weigh in if you'd like!

Lucky you said Michigander, if you’d have said Michiganian I’d make you turn in your pure Michigan card.

I’m in. It would be nice to meet

Many years ago I rode around Lake Superior. I went from SS Marie to Munising to Marquette, then up to Houghton and around to Duluth. Then up to Canada and back around to SS Marie. My recollection was that the S shore was pretty boring but it was very scenic around Houghton. From Duluth to the border was spectacular, as was the ride around the N side, particularly around Wawa. The big lake can be cold and foggy though, so anyone on that trip should bring warm clothes. And watch out for moose!

I stopped at a restaurant for coffee in Munising and was awed by the biggest (65 lb) lake trout I've ever seen that was apparently caught just offshore in Lake Superior.
I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

TexasKZ - I'd love to have been riding the whole winter, but my bike started to turn orange in December, so I'll wait until it rains a couple times. When the streets aren't white with snow they're white with salt.

I'm glad that so many are interested in getting together this year! I know we might be a little far from each other in some cases, but I'm willing to ride wherever, scheduling depending.

Last week we had - 10 degree celsius and today we had +15 degree celsius. What a insane weather condition here in Germany.
Took out the bike(s) for a first ride this year. On sunday and next week we will get up to +20 celsius, unbelievable....
