The news is reporting things are pretty bad in Texas.
Please give us a first hand report.
Getting better. At the worst part, about 4.5 million customers were were without electricity, yesterday it was about 40,000. Lots of frozen and bursted pipes. My wife and I evidently live in a small, heavily blessed spot. We have had electricity most of the time, and it was never off more than a couple of hours. Our water was off for a couple of hours while the well dudes thawed the wells out and made some electrical repairs. Most of our friends and relatives are having a much worse time of it. Some have been without electricity 3 - 5 days, and many have had pipes burst, making a mess of their house. Most single story houses down here have the plumbing in the attic, making a right good mess when it breaks.
I am really ready for summer. On the positive side, it looks like COVID has disappeared completely......

Took out the bike(s) for a first ride this year. On sunday and next week we will get up to +20 celsius, unbelievable....

What a turnaround! Wasn't Germany in the same situation as Texas a week ago?

Same here in Alberta. It was -30C at the beginning of the week. +10C is called for by Monday, although I anticipate higher based on recent history.

It's supposed to reach 9C here on Monday. I may get a bike out for a bit. I never got a chance to check my blue Z1B out after I changed the transmission last fall. Would like to know that it runs OK.

Today we had a short sunday group ride at 22 celsius. It looks like the winter is dead, long live the sping.

June works for me too. How about the Saturday the 5th, and maybe the 6th if we have enough planned?

My main interest is a group ride along a nice route, hopefully at least an hour, since I've never rode with anyone and it seems fun! I'm also up for a cookout or bonfire, anything like that. I think keeping it outdoors would be prudent considering the circumstances.

I think that somewhere more southern in MI would help appeal to members from neighboring states, though it's a bit far for Canadians, so a trade-off. Livingston county is about a 30 minute trip for me, so no issue here.

June is great! I can offer over 6 acres of parking/camping for a meeting point in S.E. ( Tecumseh )MI. I am about 15 minutes west off 23N on the Cabelas /Dundee exit. I am down for Zukey lake for sure ! Im 35 miles from ya and there is some good winding scenic riding between us.Maybe the southern leg just does some more riding than the mid staters.
