Sorry maybe someone else gets an idea from your video. I can’t tell what the rpm is doing in relationship to the throttle. I don’t see excessive smoke.  From idle when you start to twist the throttle does it climb in rpm then want to sputter and stall. Can you get any higher into the rpms by feathering the throttle back a little and then on more. Can you get above 3.5k at all?

  1. Factory air box?
  2. Air filter?
  3. Try watching the fuel filter, does it constantly have fuel or does it get empty?
  4. vent nipples/hoses on carbs open to atmosphere?
  5. try leaving the tank cap open. Please be sure fuel level is below top of tank enough so fuel with not spill out from vibration.

I agree.  I think that is why I am getting so frustrated with it...

You said you bought a new coil. Did you get the correct ohm rating in the new coil. Have you started it in the dark? Are the points sparking a lot?

Is it possible that the main jets ( #45 in the crappy quality diagram) are missing?

last night,  pulled the carbs,  and this is indeed the issue.
Waiting on a carb rebuild kit to arrive.
Thank you all for your help.

You are welcome. I hope you got the kit from Keyster. Jets are precision parts, and there are some really crappy ones out there. It is best to use the genuine articles. Sellers like SUDCO, Partzilla  and Jets R Us handle the real deal. Z1E may also have them.

*UPDATE*  It is AMAZING what happens when you have the carbs put togeather entirely....
(The rebuild kit arrived yesterday.  put all new jets, (including the 2 missing pilot jets)
She has her spirit and muscle back.  On the stand reved to 5k easily, and even on a quick twist of the throttle, she jumps to 4.5 without missing a beat.  Now, if only it would stop raining so I can get some seat time before my rider course this weekend.

Thank you all VERY much for your input and assistance.
