Steve, I reposted the image from my phone after attempting to copy/paste it from a previous KZR post on the subject. That method produced a mile of illegible code that took several edit attempts to delete.

13 Sep 2023 16:20An interesting point Ed but I would come back to my original question, the OP said the 14mm coil was way to big and to be honest in the picture at least, that looks like a 12mm plug next to the 14mm coil to me. If that is the case it's no wonder it blew outMaybe it doesn't matter, but Timeserts are thicker and have more mass than a small insert like a helicoil. I've read that they can affect heat transfer through the plug. They sell aluminum Timeserts, and I wonder if those would be a better option for an air cooled motorcycle?
