Rephrase, thanks...
Please highlight in red where sealer needs to be applied on the case image.

Assuming that will be all contact areas where the case halves meet, except the curved bearing surfaces where nothing gets applied.

I installed APE studs when I installed my new/old tranny. Not the wannabe kind.

How about...

   SWest:

   YUP

The package directions recommend usiing a brush or putty knife to spread as even and thin coat as possible on both surfaces, and wait one minute before mating the parts.

Somewhere else it was noted that you have four minutes to get this done.

WAIT A MINUTE.  HELLO!

I wouldn't use it where the bearings are. I use a light smear with my finger and put it together right away wiping off the excess while still wet.

Start watching about 45:32. it’s fast forward but you can clearly see he spreads sealer with his finger on both case halves. He puts the trans in after spreading sealer so it appears you have good working time

Thanks Matt, very cool!
Accomplished it last night, somehow without a single glitch.  Amazing.

Rubbed sealer on with my finger tip and kept moving along at a frenzied but steady pace, and must have looked like the guy in that video.  Lol

I did remember to check my timer after twenty-four minutes passed, but only after all the case bolts and stud nuts had been torqued.
Applying blue Loctite 242 to each nut prior to stud attachment was the fumblest part of the process.

All good for now!

Looks super nice. Very solid bottom end. This will make a great build.

Funny vision of you being a real life fast forward!!!

Thought I'd check them out, and do a little clean up on the pistons.
Lean carb settings may have caused both head gaskets to blow.

Apparent heat damage shows on both #2 and #3 pistons
