Just talk to Z1E and they will set you up. They have all the required sprockets and chains for the 530 conversion. They have both the Z-12 and Z-13 spline front sprockets for the older bikes and "J" series bikes. The Tsubaki "Sigma" chain they got for me is also fantastic. I only have to tighten it very seldom. some brand sprockets WILL require a spacer washer and they have those also. They have 1.25 & 6mm washer thicknesses. On my"J" motor I used no spacer. I cover my conversion here. on pages 23-27

I was looking at the Z1 site. It says the sprockets will be the same diameter but with more teeth. The ones I received from Thibeault were quite a bit smaller but had the same number of teeth as I recall. I guess it would translate out to be the same as the original as far as rotational speed vs. engine speed. Thanks for the info.

gf - If you are running very small sprockets front and back on the bike, you are likely to have the chain slap the top or bottom of the swing arm...

95% of people would not be able to tell the difference between a 530 and 630 by sight. I am WAY over 30 and could not tell the difference at a glance. The chains LOOK almost identical.

Folks who are ashamed of their little 530's and secretly envious of those with 630's, might find it somewhat consoling to fab a full chain cover so nobody can see the chain, and could even paste a label on the cover that says "630."

Another label could be added that says, "If under 30, do not look under this cover."

Only the ones insecure with their masculinity. It's not the size of the chain but how much Horse power you have behind it. some guys just think that it's all just in the Chain.
