630 to 530 Chain Conversion

wow and to think i sold my dragbike with a license plate because i was ashamed of my itty bitty 530 chain compared to omr's 630 implement chain on his little 1015! :woohoo:

As I said. "It's not in the chain or size of chain but how you use it" I am quite proud of my 530 chain and how well it serves me. :woohoo: :whistle: It transfers all the horsepower I can muster quite well and efficiently. :laugh: :laugh: :whistle: As a Marine I will put it this way. In the old days it was thought that you require a 30-06 (or later a .308) and a 12+# rifle to kill someone. today we can do it with .223 and a 6# rifle. :whistle:

@Jeff. Thanks for that info. I did think about that. This makes me wonder even more about these 530 conversion sprockets I got from Thibeault. Maybe I should just stick to 630.

With all honesty and seriousness. There is NO REASON to run a 630 chain today. Since even a 520 is strong enough for our bikes a 530 is overkill for most of the vintage street bikes.
