I beg to differ.Even some of the folks cringing probably swapped forks and swingarms, not so far removed from what a guy does to make a chopper.
I switched to a GPz fork because it works better. I've got a GS1100E swingarm that I'll eventually mount up because it works better.

You could use a Buell front wheel. They have a rotor that is almost the same size as the wheel so it's less noticeable.
