Am thinking this angle wouldn't work very well, if at all, with shocks. But am uncertain about struts.
Could probably weld tabs onto the swingarm to relocate lower mounts.
Others should have better advice about the mounting angle involved, with struts or shocks.
Good Luck!

Usually the swingarm end is further rearward than the top bolt so that the mounting angle is similar to a standard dual shock angle.

Isn't the shock mount where the box end of the wrench is hanging? I think the mount you are looking at may be for the turn signals.
I made the same mistake until I really looked at the picture, unless I am still totally confused.

If I'm not mistaken I think the lower shock mount on this swingarm is the forwardmost hole with what looks to be a bushing in it. I believe Suzukis use a different type of rear shock than a Kawi does.
I concur with The Gringo, and believe this pic illustrates the designed lower bushing mount.
Good Luck!

Would not be surprised to later hear of yet another strut fitment being quickly abandoned in favor of shocks.
And btw, very handsome bike!
