After much searching I was able to get my hands on an original Foale machine, a 350LC based HCS racer in various boxes...
Yamaha RD350LC is a motorcycle that Yamaha made from 1980 to 1986. It had a parallel twin two-stroke engine with identical bore and stroke of its predecessor Yamaha RD350. However, Yamaha added liquid cooling and made other modifications in porting and exhaust to comply with the ever tightening emission regulations. The RD350LC constantly evolved throughout its life and it was made in Brazil in the final years. In some countries, like the USA, the later YPVS models were sold as Yamaha Rz350. It was made in Japan from 1980 to 1986 and in Brazil from 1986 to 1995. The same engine without the YPVS was still being made until recently and powered the popular Yamaha Banshee 350 ATV.
The 1980 to 1982 models were codenamed 4L0 and are affectionately known as Elsie. This model was not officially sold in the USA but was available in neighbouring Canada. Yamaha debuted their breakthrough YPVS power valve system in the RD350LC in 1983 that revolutionized the two-stroke engine.

Hi all, would bumping this thread catch anyone’s attention? Looking for more info on the green GTS/GPZ/VFR that Steell mentioned. Registered at 750Turbo but can’t find anything using the search function.
Would like to ask the builder a few questions as I have gathered a collection of similar parts

KZR has gone through several revisions over the years. One of them occurred a couple of years before I took over the domain. The previous owner decided that the old KZR forum software (XMB) could not be updated an so we restarted using Joomla and Kunena. The old forum was still accessible as read only and dubbed "The Archive". About four years ago we had a crisis which stemmed, in part, from the software not having been updated regularly. I learned that we were infested with malware which had taken over the site's e-mail capability and was constantly sending out spam. We managed to clean up Joomla and Kunena but the Archive was too dangerous to leave active. I still have it offline and if I could find someone who was capable of sorting it out I would do so.
You've heard the "long", the short is that the info you're looking for in probably in "The Archive"
Sorry
Bill
