In my case I went with a ZX10R front end. The issue in most cases is the different in ride height and how you are willing to cope or compensate for the difference. I think you can pretty much use any front end (with in reason) but some are a litter longer then others.

- 2005 ZX6R lower triple
- Custom machined stem, uses stock KZ bearings
- HoHey ZX6R stunt top triple, it is a dropped design meant for use with clipons above the triple instead of under...slide the tubes down flush with the top of it and you gain 1-1.5" in fork length. It is also drilled for risers
- Driven 1 1/8th bar risers
- Driven Carbon Fibre 1 1/8th bars, CR high bend
I went with spoked wheels, Behr Supermoto 17x3.5 rim, Ducati Sport Classis hub, Ducati spokes, custom disk spacers, Wave rotors, custom wheel spacers, custom caliper spacers ( stock disks were 300mm on the ZX6R, the Ducati rotors are 320mm )
Any questions about my setup just ask

I am using forks from a 2000 YZF600r on my 1980 KZ1000 LTD project. These forks are 806mm long (31 3/4in.). It's axle is 17mm, same as the stock KZ1000 axle, so I will be using a stock KZ1000 wheel to start. Eventuly I will use a stock hub and build a wideer spoke wheel. I also made this triple clamp with 60mm of offset (stock offset for my bike is 63mm). I have used these forks on several projects because there are lots of aftermarket tuining parts for them. Race Tech sells compression and rebound gold valves, propper rate springs, bushings, and seals to set them up correctly for the KZ1000 weight.
