Have for many years used the mini rubber motor mounts to attach the mufflers on both Z1 and KZ900, which isolate the frame from exhaust system vibration.
The little rubber mounts have proved to be surprisingly durable.
It makes a very noticeable difference in reducing vibration felt by the rider.
Good Fortune!

That rubber mount might be an idea, I'm as rigid as it could possibly be on my collector and I haven't experienced vibration bothering me this bad before so there is a correlation there. Between that, rubber isolation on the handle bar mounts and last resort lead in the handle bar ends I should be good for some long trips.
Thanks guys!
