I looked at the numbers and they are right. Just a real odd ball I think.

KZ900 LTD

1976 KZ900-B1 LTD introduced rear disc brake with an exposed master cylinder.
The exposed master cylinder is peculiar to this particular model.
On 1977 models (both LTD and standard), the rear master cylinder is relocated and hidden under the right side cover.
The dash board was also redesigned on the 1976 models.
With regard to the engine serial number, am thinking the last digit is for whatever reason not being seen.
