Where did you get those triple trees? Just picked up a ZRX front end for my 77 KZ1000. Thought about modifying the ZRX trees but plug and play would be nice.

Anyone know of some gold front forks that are plug and play or can point me towards a list? Jusa a KZ1000 for $500 dollars and runs (albeit rough)

jarrad where'd you get the excel rims for the ducati wheels? I have a set of ducati wheels but the chrome rims are so heavy. I want the excel alloys but noone has them listed like that in the black. also my wheels don't have the rotors on them do you have the brakes sorted yet? I have been creeping on a ducati forum and I know a bunch of diff model rotors fit but I don;t know what I need yet. I think they have different spacing between rotors. I have the same forks as your pic 2005-06 zx6 forks? any help would be appreciated. I am assembling parts but haven't tried much yet...

ZX9 front end. Have to make a steering stem. 17" wheels front and back. No handling issues what soever.

Im the same. Complete ZX9R front end (stem swap) 17inch wheels front and back. GSXR600 swingarm with shock mounts welded on.
Cant speak to the handling as the wheels and swingarm are still at the powdercoaters.I am concerned with the ground clearance though
(Harris 4into1 exhaust) but Im looking more to the (cheaper) fork extensions rather than the (expensive) dropped triple tree.

GSXR Swingarm for me. Ground clearance is an issue if you pick up fat chicks in the trailer park. Seriously though, I am real close in tight turns but I run a firmer but not uncomfortable preload and dampening on front and back. I catch flack once in a while however Kzs aren't known for peg dragging anyway so slammed to the ground isn't an issue.

Yeah, except every kz that has been modded by people close to me were mde to go fast and hit the twisties (tons of nice backroads out here) also if note is the factory race bikes (650s, 900s, 1000s) and how prevalent the kz line is in nostalgia racing. It's all relevant
