1977 KZ1000 Sticky Front Break

First an introduction. I am just back into Z's after 20 years on four wheels. I went and purchased this beast imaged below last weekend.
So I have all winter up here to get things tuned up.
First up is a sticky from caliper. It seems that it will not release the wheel after a couple of squeezes. Is there something easy to try before I start pulling the system apart?
Thanks
Chris

I have the caliper off and apart. Lots of crud in there, so may explain a lot. Going to put a rebuild kit in, as the caliper bolt dust covers are gone.
I already purchased a kit for the master cyl. Even though it appear ok, the break fluid was pretty gritty, so I want to start out now with everything fresh. I am now stumped how to remove the circlip that sits in front of the C Clip.
I am refering to the lower middle part in this image here;
I have the "round" master
Any advice there?
Thanks and Happy New Year

Without having it in front of me, it looks like a sharp pointed knife or an awl could be used to spring it inward(while keeping the plunger partly depressed) so you can slip a small blade screwdriver under it. Be careful not to lose it if you need it and Good luck. I have rebuilt my calipers, but not my master as it was already changed out by previous owner.
