Here is mine with zx9 and zx6r swingarm. These are old photos but as you can see I had to weld in a cross-member for the mono shock mount point.

Just scroll thru the thread.
ZX7 front with 19" KZ wheel, it's possible to get the original 1300 wheel in later model forks.

problem with the 19" wheel is lack of tire support. It also depends on what your doing with your KZ1300, if you want to take corners hard then you would be better going with the 17" front.

Be careful about changing tire size or the bike's height. The stock front tire for KZ1300 is MN90-18 which is rough equivalent to 120/90-18. A 17" tire will lower the front end by roughly 1/2". The KZ1300 has a wide engine and pipes, so unless the height of front forks make up for the lower tire things will scrape more in hard cornering. Notice pipes in pic below. If bike was lower they would be hard aground. Ed

I appreciate all the input. I will probably have to sort a few things out if there is clearance issues. For my wife's sanity I kinda need to make sure I can't ride too fast. My last bike was a Hayabusa that I raised the rear and tuned the forks for handling. I was a bit crazy on that bike. Here's a pic for viewing pleasure. Also one pre paint and mods.

I finally got the forks mocked up. I am using a set off of a 2001 ZX12R. So far so good! What do you all think?

Will you have enough clearance? Looks like rim is on same plane as bottom of frame.

The forks are lowered in the pics. They came off of a drag bike. I have then torn down to remove the spacers then I will get a better feel for what I need to do. I am also going to see if I can use a little bit bigger front wheel than the stock 17". That will help as well.
