For my Les rearsets, I just removed the studs and replaced with some grade 10.9 - 10mm Allen socket screws that were 40 or 45 mm long. Looks great IMHO.

Vic, Rear sets look nice but wanting to retain the stock look for right now.
Cory, nice idea but for right now just want the right pitch acorn or regular nuts. It appears to be 8mm 1.25 pitch and have a Die, but doesn't want to screw down on the threaded studs without appearing to re-thread them both. Didn't want to force it so was planning on going down to a Hardware store tomorrow and see what fits them.

possibly is 1.00 pitch. I find the japanese bikes ten to favor finer pitches than standard metric.

I think for the outside end of the stud, the pitch is fine 8mm which is 1.0, not standard 1.25. I can check mine tonight with my thread checker if you don't figure it out.

Went down to the ACE hardware. Has a great selection of metric fasteners. Outside stud ( footrest bracket ) is 8mm 1.25 Pitch . Even though correct nut would only screw partially on the stud, went ahead a used 8mm 1.25 Die on it to clean up the threads. Just wanted to make sure. Works great now !
Thanks again for all of your advice
