700cc Wiseco kit 10 to 1.
1980 KZ750 cam, ape springs, stock clutch/ Barnett springs.
Vance and Hines Header w/ comp baffle and Ape pods, Dyna S and green coils, copper wires.
29MM smooth bores W/ 17.5 pilots, 0-6s and 117.5 main
16/42 gearing X ring chain and alum rear JT sprocket.

Kawasaki came out with an aftermarket safety clip thing to remedy this. I bought one from ZPower last year.Its still in the bag.I havent looked at it yet.I went with a bigger back wheel on my project which is going to need an offset front sprocket,so I dont know if Ill be able to use it or not. (Yet another question/potential problem/challenge on my build.)
but I know it exists.

It uses the holes in the sprocket and the output shaft spline, I'd use the later type on any big zed.

SHT. On my Z1 the nut came loose and rode in the oil pump housing. It never came off like that bolt.

Besides only using Locktight, what other ideas do you guys have?
I could invest in some safety wire pliers and wire and probably thread in a couple of 8 mm bolts in the outboard holes of the splined center hole? Have any of you guys done this?
The sprocket is hardened according to JT but could be drilled at a machine shop?
