They exchange springs at no charge. I received a set of 14 kg springs and they are just right. Then I mailed the 16 kg springs back to them and we were done. If you don't have a shock spring compressor then you might need to mail the shocks back to them and wait.
Bottom line is, they tend to recommend springs on the heavier side. Try to get the right springs the first time.

In the link below, my shocks are shown in the photos near the bottom of the page. They're marked "#4 CLASSIC I - CHROME WIDELINE SPRING STAINLESS TOP SHROUD." I don't remember the specs, but I do have the original receipt and box. The shock details from the receipt are shown in the 1st image below, and the info on the box in the 2nd image.
