The KZP bags are pretty good. They are narrow and can be fastened close to the bike.

I carry a small bag under the headlight, I keep my tool kit there. For everything else, I'm stuck with a backpack.

Some I got for $40 on eBay many many mods ago. They're nice but don't fit very well, flop around too much.

I'm going to rely on a backpack for now.

Still, have room for the wife and all. Great for small things like picking up a half gallon of milk on your way home. I think they were only $60 too. Don't move at all on the highway.

Have been using a tank bag on most rides.
Holds tools and spares, water, camera, hat, change of gloves, whatever.

Every time I see that bike of yours Rob I love it, nice job!

I use a backpack myself since I really like the clean lines of stock look on mine. Does the tank bag get in your way at all or block view of anything? I doubt I could use one on mine since the led display for gas and things is a pod mounted on my tank :(

I have a pair on Riggs saddle bags. I liked them and they come with quick connect straps. Velcro straps and handles like luggage. $75 The sun faded them out the first year so I fixed my 75 Aamco hard boxes.

I'd take a pic of my bags but they're piled in the corner of a shed waiting their final fate
