I know more about Giant Rock and the Integatron than you will hear. It's been commercialized. I rode up there and watched the circus and was disgusted so I rode home. Maybe I'll post some of it in chit chat.

I have to have someplace to put stuff even if its my daily rider to and from work. The 650 is one of my daily riders, I put a rack on it to hold a tail bag I got from leather up.



Of course the 1100 has all the storage I need for longer trips



The sporty has a solo bags on each side for a small amount of storage for daily rides.



But Ive loaded it up for 2 up camping trips too.

On my Z1R l use an old Gearsack, love the look from the 70/80's.

I made small mount bars with a couple quick release clips, fitted a UK spec tail light bracket which have winkers arms attached too and run adjustable/rebuildable Koni shocks.

I use a backpack myself since I really like the clean lines of stock look on mine. Does the tank bag get in your way at all or block view of anything? I doubt I could use one on mine since the led display for gas and things is a pod mounted on my tank

It's a good thing your not close, as there is a lot of wear and tar on her. Rust too in places.
Doesn't help that she parks outside, covered.

The tank bag doesn't block anything except the gas cap.

And then for a fill up, I just lift the magnets loose and lay it on the seat.
When I leave the tank bag off on a ride, the bike feels so much smaller.
On a bike with a higher gas tank, not sure how well it would work. The KZ tank is low.

Thanks for the reply Rob and no problem, I love how your bike looks and the "imperfections" you speak of are patina and add character to it, I'm sure that for most if not nearly all they tell a bit of a story and you can map out a lot of time and memories with them Ut all adds to the character of the bike, and mine like yours lives outside too. Truthfully with bikes or even cars that live outside the appearance will never be quite as big a concern not can it when exposed to the weather. I cover mine too but am looking at getting a much nicer weather specific cover for it since it could be as little as 3-6 months until we move to a place with a garage or as much as 1-2 years just don't know.

Great info in the tank bag thanks for that! I use a backpack since I hate breaking up the classic lines of the bike but a magnetic tank bag has been one of the things I've considered just not sure I could make it work on my unique tank with the large plastic LCD display, guess we will see
