My 1977 KZ750 Chain BROKE today while I was riding

Luckily I was only going 15 MPH but it was scary. Bike skidded but I was able to lay her down without a scratch. Here are pics of my bike and the broken chain, and my bike being towed. Can anyone suggest a replacement chain and sprocket?

That's a no no. I'm running a EK 630 O ring chain. Very happy with it. I know that's not what you have but cheap chains are dangerous. Got a good price from these guys. You might try them or call Z1 Enterprizes.

Really Appreciate it. But I thought KZ750 change are 530, not 630 and 14T. Forgive me, Im new to this bike stuff and learning, but I dont want to put items that arent spec on the bike. Can you confirm the items you linked (which I really appreciate you doing) are spec and appropriate to my '77 KZ750?

This is what another posted wrote some time ago about chains and sprockets.

I run 530 chain on my 750 twin, stock gears are 16/38. You can go up to 17T on the front and still fit, not 18. 32T on the rear is minimum and the chain heads do rub on the aluminum sprocket holder (wheel hub).

I ran 16/32 and was VERY happy for many years. I weighed about 160, so the bike didn't have a big load to pull. I also am not into drag racing, so less acceleration doesn't bother me. It cruised much smoother."

It looks like the chain lock (master lock)was not good riveted
It happens to me on my Hayabusa with a D.I.D chain. I lost the chain on a Highway in Austria, Thank goodness nobody was hurt.
I investigate i use the wrong tool for pressing the master lock for D.I.D chains.

Contact them for the proper sizes. They will be a little cheaper than my larger outfit.
